Founder & Medical Director

Kenny Chantasi, DO

Board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in Pain Medicine. PrimeCell Regenerative & Aesthetic Medicine — Orlando, Florida.

Kenny Chantasi, DO, board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation and pain medicine physician

About Dr. Chantasi

Dr. Kenny Chantasi is an osteopathic physician (DO). He is board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in the subspecialty of Pain Medicine. Both come from the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOBPMR). The AOBPMR is a certifying board of the American Osteopathic Association. He also serves as a member of the AOBPMR Board.

He is the founder and medical director of PrimeCell Regenerative & Aesthetic Medicine in Orlando, Florida. He performs patient evaluations and procedures himself.

Dr. Chantasi earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Nassau University Medical Center. The center is in East Meadow, New York.

After residency, Dr. Chantasi practiced at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation and Regenerative Medicine at Columbia. There he combined patient care with teaching physicians and the wider community.

He later joined Sanford Health in Fargo, North Dakota. There he served as Department Chair and as Medical Director of Sanford Rehabilitation Hospital. He also held a faculty appointment as Clinical Associate Professor at the University of North Dakota. His hospital work included caring for patients recovering from stroke, spinal cord injury, and traumatic injury. He also cared for people with nerve conditions and other complex illnesses that affect movement and independence.

Dr. Chantasi has taught through lectures, professional talks, and published work. That work includes a contribution to the Oxford American Handbook of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. His service on the AOBPMR Board reflects his ongoing role in osteopathic board certification, professional standards, and the PM&R specialty.

PM&R is the medical specialty focused on restoring function: how people move, work, and live. It looks at the whole person, not one organ system. Dr. Chantasi has worked in academic medicine, hospital rehab, image-guided pain care, and private practice. That range gives him a broad view of how pain, nerve health, movement, and overall health affect one another.

That background shapes his approach at PrimeCell. He starts with a workup that pins down the source of the problem. He then looks at how it affects daily life. From there he builds a plan that starts with the least invasive option that fits.

His interest in medical weight management and aesthetic medicine is personal as well as professional. He went through his own change in health and shape. He saw first-hand how that can lift energy, confidence, drive, and well-being.

That experience led him to look more closely at physician-guided weight management and natural-looking aesthetic care. He wanted to share what he had learned. There is no single secret and no one-size-fits-all plan. Instead, he applies those lessons through one-to-one medical review, realistic expectations, and care plans built around each patient's health, goals, and situation.

His Pain Medicine subspecialty certification and clinical experience add depth in image-guided procedures for spine, joint, tendon, and nerve-related pain. At PrimeCell, that base connects five areas of care in one physician-led practice:

  • regenerative medicine
  • pain care
  • medical weight management
  • hormone optimization
  • natural-looking aesthetic procedures

The goal is not to recommend as many procedures as possible. It is to learn what matters to the patient and to lay out the real options. That means the likely benefits, the limits, the risks, and the alternatives. From there, patient and physician set goals they can measure: function, comfort, health, confidence, and quality of life.

Editorial Standards

How content on this site is reviewed

Dr. Chantasi reviews every clinical article on primecellmed.com before it goes live. Each one carries a “medically reviewed by” byline with the date of last review.

Articles cite primary sources wherever they make a factual medical claim. Those sources include peer-reviewed studies indexed in PubMed, U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidance, and professional-society statements.

We say clearly which procedures and products are FDA-approved for a given use. We also say which ones are investigational, off-label, or supported by limited evidence.

We describe regenerative options, including exosome and stem-cell-derived products, in line with their current regulatory status. We do not publish guarantees about how well they work.

We review articles again when the evidence or the regulatory status changes. If something on this site looks wrong or out of date, please contact us.
