Editorial policy & medical review
Every clinical article on primecellmed.com is reviewed and approved by a physician before it is published, cites primary sources, and says plainly what is FDA-approved, what is off-label and what is investigational. This page explains how that works — and how to tell us when we get something wrong.
Authorship
Who writes and who reviews
Short answer
Most clinical content is written by Kenny Chantasi, DO. Some patient-education articles are drafted by the PrimeCell editorial team; every one of them is medically reviewed and approved by Dr. Chantasi before publication. Every article names its writer and its medical reviewer, with the date it was last reviewed.
- Physician author & reviewer
- Kenny Chantasi, DO — founder and medical director of PrimeCell; board-certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and in Pain Medicine (AOBPMR); Florida osteopathic license OS22127.
- Editorial team
- Articles bylined “PrimeCell editorial team” are drafted by practice staff and medically reviewed and approved by Dr. Chantasi before publication, and the byline says so.
- Byline
- Each article shows “Written by”, “Medically reviewed by”, the publication date and the last-reviewed date.
- Two audiences
- The patient journal is written for patients. Long-form clinician-audience articles are currently being revised and are not published.
Medical review
How an article is reviewed
Dr. Chantasi reviews every clinical article on primecellmed.com before it goes live. Each one carries a “medically reviewed by” byline with the date of last review.
Draft
An article starts from a real patient question and is drafted by Dr. Chantasi or a contributing writer.
Source check
Every factual medical claim is matched to a primary source, and claims that cannot be sourced are removed or softened.
Physician review
Dr. Chantasi checks accuracy, regulatory labelling, risks and limitations, and approves the article — or sends it back.
Publish & re-review
The article is published with its review date and reviewed again when the evidence or regulatory status changes.
Source standards
What we cite, and what we do not
Articles cite primary sources wherever they make a factual medical claim, listed at the end of the article so you can check them yourself.
We cite
- U.S. Food and Drug Administration guidance, approvals and safety communications
- Official prescribing information (drug labels on DailyMed)
- Peer-reviewed studies indexed in PubMed, with journal, year and DOI
- Professional-society guidelines and position statements
- Statutes and regulations, such as Florida law, when legal status matters
We avoid
- Manufacturer marketing and press releases as evidence
- Generic health blogs and uncited statistics
- Presenting one small study as settled science
- Citing a paper unless the authors, journal, year and identifier can be verified
Trial results are reported as trial results — what was studied, in whom, and what was found — and evidence is kept separate from clinical opinion.
Regulatory labelling
How FDA status is labelled
We say clearly which procedures and products are FDA-approved for a given use, and which are off-label, investigational or supported by limited evidence. The same three labels are used across the site.
- FDA-approved
The FDA has approved the product for this specific use after reviewing safety and effectiveness data.
- Off-label / physician practice
An approved drug, or a material prepared with an FDA-cleared device, used in a way the FDA has not specifically reviewed. Legal and common in medicine; evidence varies.
- Not FDA-approved / investigational
No FDA approval for this use. Regenerative options, including exosome and stem-cell-derived products, are described in line with their current regulatory status.
Claims
No testimonials, no outcome claims
We do not publish guarantees about how well any treatment works.
- No patient testimonials, reviews or star ratings on this site
- No before-and-after photographs
- No promises of pain relief, tissue regrowth, permanent results or specific weight loss
- No outcome statistics until PrimeCell’s Outcomes Follow-Up program has followed enough patients, for long enough, to report honestly — it has no published results yet
- Stock photography is never presented as PrimeCell patients, results or the clinic
Advertising & compliance
Florida notices on this site
This website is advertising for a medical practice as well as patient education, and it follows the Florida rules that apply to both.
- Stem cell notice
- Because Dr. Chantasi performs one or more stem cell therapies that are not FDA-approved, the notice required by Florida Statutes §458.3245 and §459.0127 appears on every page, set at the largest type size used on the page.
- Reduced-fee notice
- Whenever an introductory or reduced consultation fee is advertised, the patient notice required by Florida Statutes §456.062 appears with it.
- Products
- Cellular, tissue and exosome products are not advertised by brand or manufacturer; the specific product and its status are reviewed with a patient in writing before any procedure.
- Not medical advice
- Content on this site is general education and does not create a physician–patient relationship. Candidacy is determined at an individual evaluation.
Use of AI tools
Drafting tools
Drafting tools may be used; every clinical article is reviewed and approved by Dr. Chantasi before publication.
Tools are never the source of a medical claim: every claim must trace to a cited primary source, and responsibility for accuracy rests with the physician reviewer.
Corrections & updates
If something looks wrong or out of date
How to report it
Email info@primecellmed.com with the page address and what you believe is incorrect. Please do not include personal health information.
- Review
- Dr. Chantasi reviews each correction request against the sources.
- Correction
- Errors of fact are corrected and the article’s last-reviewed date is updated.
- Update cadence
- Articles are reviewed again when the evidence, a drug label or regulatory status changes, and clinical pages are checked at least once a year.
Questions about your own care belong in a consultation, not a correction request — call (407) 512-8878.
Education is general. Your evaluation is not.
